2025: year of Football Redemption
So many pages of history have been written.
Many stories of redemptions and comebacks.
Teams that achieved a dream returning the glory of old days, but also players.
In Italy Bologna successfully won Coppa Italia after waiting for 51 years.
In England instead, Newcastle won the League Cup (a.k.a. Carabao Cup) for the first time.
In the same country, after 4 years of Citizens domain, Liverpool won Premier League.
Still an English team but this time in Bilbao at San Mames, the Spurs won Europa League, first title in the last 17 years and first international cup in 40 years.
Then maybe mostly important for them, Crystal Palace that beat Man City in FA Cup final, lifting their first trophy, which also means qualifying in Europe for their first time.
Obviously, don't forget Harry Kane finally winning his first and well deserved team trophy? The Bundesliga with Bayern München. What a season it has been for football, full of history.
But at this point, what else is there? What other record could be broken now?
Only things missing are the two other European final, in which we could see PSG with their first UCL maybe?
And what about Real Betis which could possibly win the first international cup in their history.
Both UCL and UECL matches will be two interesting battles between teams that want to write history.
I surely can't wait for the days to come, hoping to watch great shows and maybe, why not, new records in this amazing, unexpected, unpredictable season.
Football is not just a sport.
